Well, we’re settled in the Haunted Schoolhouse, about to hang the artwork and catching up on some of the little administrative things. We’ve also had a bought with bronchitis that has been pretty horrible. I got an update to endoftheworldtimes, and that means the writing is back on. Going to keep on that one, and Inside on my own, Walter with Michael, and then there’s a developing project for Michael, Bart and me that is a little too nascent to describe yet. I’m probably going to add an Inside mini-site to the mindofbryan for Inside specific stuff. As usual, I’ll be posting new pieces here as I release them, the mini site is just to focus the material.
We also may have an artist for Disgruntled, though I think Singularity Diner is going to be pushed back to late January, just too much to do.
It’s been difficult to keep up, much less catch up. Too many demands on my time and body to accomplish much. Somewhere between work, the new house, a 3 year old, a problematic car, 10 sites, several big writing projects and a number of other commitments, it’s just been rough to keep up with the plan.
I’v estarted new features at two sites, and been working hard at promoting Gearsecure, which is really my goal. It’s the biggest thing I’m working on and it gets far less attention than it needs.
Well, I’m turning a corner on the more day to day stuff in my life, where it’s more taken care of than it has been. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate moving? It always sets me back by two months. Right now I’m at the six week mark, and I’m not quite back up to my usual pace.
On the other hand, I have added some projects to my plate. I’ll be producing some sculptural pieces over the next few months as just part of a plan to satisfy another side of my creativity. Some will be steampunky, some will be horror inspired, and some will be kind of surreal. I’ll be posting images as I develop the projects, but I don’t have anything I can show just yet. Even my early sketches have been refined significantly in my head, and are irrelevant at this point.
We’re trying to get some workshop nights and creative nights going at the house. These have proven very useful in the past, and we’ve got a certain amount of critical mass out of them that we haven’t had for quite a long time.
Music is also being pushed to January. Not enough practice time, and I want to bone up on the newer programs I have to dive in and get some material out.
I’ve been trying to get to podcasts again, but these happen best when I get the house to myself, and that hasn’t happened much at the right times yet. Probably within two weeks, I’ll be in decent shape to pick them up again.
Other than that, still planning on getting to Windycon for parties at least.
I’ll be back to normal pace and output in a couple weeks. You’ll see.
